About Isaiah A. Cureton - Founder & Lead Attorney
I grew up in a military family and moved around a lot, but I eventually found my way to Hawaii in 2017. I earned my undergraduate in Economics at Marymount University in Washington D.C., and my J.D./M.B.A. from UH Manoa. I got into Estate Planning because I felt it was an important service our community needed. I founded HELP because my mission was to help as many families as possible keep their families out of court and out of conflict in the event of an unexpected incapacity or death. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, surfing, and spending time with my beautiful family.
I grew up in Kakaako and now reside with my parents in Ewa Beach. My specialty is greeting clients with a happy smile and a wagging tail. My mutt mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle shows in my fluffy brown, black, and white fur. I love working in the office but take frequent breaks.
I grew up in Kalihi and graduated from Farrington High School. (Go Governors!) I've worked at a tech company in Oregon, then worked 15 years in Hawaii healthcare, before landing in the Estate Planning field. I enjoy traveling and trying different cuisines.
I earned my B.A. in Human Development from UH Manoa. I have worked for over 25 years at local trust companies, with a majority of those as an Estate Planning paralegal. In my free time, I enjoy walking and traveling. I especially love visiting Japan. My husband and I have a son and a daughter-in-law living in California.
I started in Estate Planning in 1996 and once received the Top Trust Agent Award while working for a national firm. I once was a Senior Vice President at a locally-owned mortgage bank and a real estate company, and once was the Director of Operations in a firm that managed four care homes. I enjoy helping our kupuna get everything in order to give them peace of mind.
